Eco Building Solutions is a new business start-up in Dubai that specializes in manufacturing and supplying green, environmentally friendly building materials for a number of applications like construction and marine products.

The company needs a robust website to support its growth strategies and act as a key marketing tool to promote the company products, specially in overseas markets.

The Solution

The company website will have a clean, corporate, modern business look. The website is fully powered by a content management system that allows the company staff to make any changes or create new pages on the site without the need for any technical knowledge or skills.

The company plans to become a global supplier and therefore needs a website in multiple languages, depending on the user preference. To support the company’s future expansion plans into emerging markets, the website will be translation ready, the website will be available in several languages, all managed within the same content management system without the need to create a different website for each language. Whenever they need to make a new language available, all they need to do is enter the translated text in the new language and the system will take care of the rest.

Roma Dance Boutique is a new dance company that will provide dancers with an artistic education that fosters freedom in artistic creation, a greater awareness of dance as an intrinsic form of human expression, and a deeper understanding of the cultural impact of arts.

The founder of Roma Dance Boutique needed to transform her passion and business idea into a profitable business. She needed help creating a business plan for her upcoming business start-up to assess the business feasibility and create a roadmap for her new business.

Additionally, she needs to create a compelling brand identity and online presence that will reflect her business philosophy and values.

What I did

I created a business plan for Roma Dance Boutique that documents key success factors, important milestones and resources needed to start and operate the business. This business plan is used as a road map for the internal business as well as a document to present the business idea and opportunity to potential partners.

Once the business plan was complete, we will start working on the brand identity to create a brand image that communicates the business values, philosophy and aspirations. The next step would be to create a winning online presence that will create positive results for the new business and help it achieve its goals. EXITlabs is a small creative studio located in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. As entrepreneurs with experience in both web development and design, EXITlabs is synonymous with innovation.

The founders are growing the business and bringing in new partners to finance this growth. EXITlabs needed a professional business plan to present the business opportunity to potential investors.

What I did

I worked with the founders of EXITlabs to assess the current business situation, define the growth objectives and identify the resources needed to fuel this growth. Based on this understanding, I created a professional business plan that can be presented to investors to outline the business opportunity and illustrate return on investment.

The Project

Ranked as one of the 50 Safest Banks in the world, NBAD (National Bank of Abu Dhabi) was named in 2010 as the Best Bank in the UAE for the second consecutive year. NBAD is expanding its product portfolio and setting up a new division to further strengthen its position as the bank in the UAE.

I worked with the management of NBAD and assisted in the creation of the new division’s business plan and financial forecasts.

Project Type: Corporate Identity Design

The International Dance Company (IDC) provides dance lesson in several styles including but not limited to Latin dancing, contemporary dancing, ball room and hip hop dancing. In addition, they provide corporate clients with dancers for corporate events, gala dinners, ceremonies and other events.

Therefore, their logo needed to reflect diversity in dancing styles with the fun and social elements of dancing.

The above image is the final logo design approved by the client, but below you can find some of the earlier logo concepts created for them.

IDC Logo Concept 1:

The Logo

The IDC initials are in snow white wrapped in shades of baby blue, with paint and drawings coming out of the logo to give it a young and vibrant feel. There is also a silhouette of a couple dancing a classical dance to indicate both the new (the logo) and old (the silhouette) dance styles and mentalities. To finish it off, the full text of “The international Dance Company” is in a modern font with dark gray and blue colors.

The Colors

The white and blue work very well with each other, The logo also have a number of fresh colors coming out of it like olive green, fresh orange. All vibrant colors that stand out well and work well together.

The Message

The impressions you get from the logo are Young, Vibrant, Full of Energy, Funky, Mixing the new with the traditional, Active. The logo is aimed at the young and the young at heart, the key demographic for IDC.

IDC Logo Concept 2:

The Logo

The IDC initials are drawn in fresh orange with embedded silhouettes of dancers dancing inside in and on the logo. The dancers are performing different styles of music which translates into the variety of styles offered. There are circles coming out of the logo that look like bubbles, which immediately makes you think of fuzzy and energizing drinks, this idea is reinforced with the tag line “energize your body and soul”. “The International Dance Company” is written with a much funkier and more energetic font to translate the whole message of the logo.

The Colors

Again, we see a number of fresh, young, vibrant colors being used in the logo. Orange, gray, red and green colors make a beautiful combination that will catch your eye from a distance.

The Message

The impressions you get from the logo are Young, Vibrant, Full of Energy, Active, Diverse dance styles. The logo is aimed at the young and the young at heart, the key demographic for IDC.

IDC Logo Concept 3:

The Logo

When you look at this logo, it’s like being in a party! You see people dancing and having fun, you immediately want to be one of these people. In this concept, we used “The International Dance Company” with the dancers around it to form a sort of a pyramid, a climax of some sort, which is what a person would feel when taking classes with IDC. The initials were dropped in this concept, as they did not fit well with the overall design, they crowded the place and we felt it looked better with them.

The Colors

As with the previous two concepts, a number of colors are used in this design, red, white, black and orange all work together to form this fun and funky logo. They stand out in a crowd and will definitely make heads turn.

The Message

FUN, FUN and more FUN! Just looking at this logo makes you want to move. It is young, social, active and vibrant. Which are key messages you want to communicate to your audience.
